A Little Bit about Sunday Morning Stories

The beauty and thoughts behind the stories that unite us

A Little Bit about Me

My formal introduction is simply my name, Maria DeCarlo. The name that the world has identified as me, and the person behind the words.

Beauty has always spoken to me through soft thoughts and moments that break through the overcast clouds in the mundane. I am a deep lover of all things in the natural world that point back to the simple joy of creation.

I am inspired by the depths of the human condition. The emotions that unite us, the struggles that we face through our experiences, and how joy can seep through the darkest cracks in our foundation.

My purpose behind Sunday Morning Stories is to sew words together that you would ponder over a steamy mug of coffee at the crack of dawn on a Sunday Morning. Stories that may shift your perspective on beauty, or even the perspective that you have about yourself. Ultimately, I write stories that unite us, deep in thought, but even deeper in connection.

Finding Deep Community

Maybe you have always pondered over why so many people struggle to embrace vulnerability, or the depths of your thoughts are dismissed with the next gust of wind?

My hope for Sunday Morning Stories is to be a place where deep thoughts are embraced, written into quotes on a yellowing note card, and discussed in a comment section that fosters new ideas.

“The world is so empty if one thinks only of mountains, rivers & cities; but to know someone who thinks & feels with us, & who, though distant, is close to us in spirit, this makes the earth for us an inhabited garden.” ~ Goethe

What to Expect

As the name suggests, weekly blog posts will be published on Sunday Mornings. I will also be publishing an additional post on Wednesday evenings, along with simple thoughts, notes, and photos that we can ponder over throughout the week.
